England (the land of Angles tribes initially) – the historical land and the administrative unit of the UK, or a part of Great Britain.

Great Britain – the consistent part of the United Kingdom along with Northern Ireland, which unites England, Wales and Scotland. It is also the name of the isle, where all these three parts are situated.  The first mentioning of Great Britain dates back to the 1603, when King James I of England ruled the country.
